Let the tears rain

Sobbing blues of a past memory
Small whimpering of defiant strength
Heart cracks just a little bit more
Tears crying for a release from our eyes

Feelings sigh a dance across our skin
Smile on the outside like a brave alien
Sun shines on the hurt our soul feels
The tears wishing to hug our cheeks

Let the loved ones see the pain held tight
Scream the hurt out with troubled eyes
Feel the release of the pained past freed
Absolved breaths slowly crack the sobs

Strength is an admirable trait of resolve
Locked up tears weigh down our futures
When hurt visits our eyes of tomorrow
Just let the tears rain down free
